In response to the devastating events that have unfolded across Los Angeles County —where so many have suffered so much as lives have been devastated by historic losses, including the loss of life — Converge Southwest has created a disaster relief fund to provide assistance and support to those affected. Several of our churches are already offering food, clothing, and temporary shelter, but the scale of the need requires more. To meet these urgent needs, we’ve established a disaster relief team to assist with the distribution of support via an application process. Further, 100% of all donations will go directly to aid in the recovery and rebuilding of lives. Your Converge Southwest Trustees unanimously voted that relief funds will only be used to support individuals affected by the fires. The fund will be administered by trusted leaders of CSW.
Our goal is to serve as a central point of generosity, avoiding duplication of efforts and ensuring that resources are channeled effectively to local communities. Your support is crucial as we work together to bring hope and healing to those impacted by this disaster.

Converge Heartland is committed to supporting disaster relief efforts through local churches. When natural disasters occur, such as the recent tornado that hit Elkhorn, NE, lives are thrown into upheaval. Resourcing our churches and partner churches to help people in their hour of greatest need helps not only to express the love of Christ, but also serves to build relational bridges between local congregations, those affected by disaster, and the broader community. In short, resourcing our churches, through the Converge Heartland Disaster Relief Fund, serves to magnify the name of Christ in both word and deed. It is our hope that as church members work to address these urgent needs, those in need will find comfort and eternal hope through their Christian witness, love, and community.

Massive floods in Brazil’s southern Rio Grande do Sul state have killed over 100 people within the first week of flooding, while damage from the rains forced more than 110,000 people from their homes. Many pastors who work closely with Converge in the Southern Cone have lost everything they own. Most displaced people have taken refuge in churches, schools, gymnasiums and other temporary shelters.
The floods left a wake of devastation, including landslides, washed-out roads and collapsed bridges across the state. Operators reported electricity and communications cuts and more than a million people in the state’s capital city, Porto Alegre, are without water. National officials have said this is the worst natural disaster in Brazil’s history.
The Southern Cone Initiative is working alongside leaders of Converge Brazil, the Bethany Church Network, and the National Baptist Churches of Brazil to provide shelter, food, and basic survival supplies to those most impacted by this disaster. This region has historically been least reached by the gospel and our prayer is that we can serve the needy and proclaim the gospel in such a way that many disciples will be made and multiplied throughout the region.
The events of October 2023 started an escalation of fighting in the region. The fighting has continued to engulf more countries and the number of causualities continues to raise for everyone involved. Many men, women and children have already been lost to the violence, with no end in sight.
At Converge, our hearts break over the violence, destruction, and death. We have committed to come alongside those who are suffering with the love and hope of Jesus Christ.
A Crisis Response Fund has been established by Converge to assist all who are suffering from the effects of this war. This fund will help provide relief and care for gospel leaders and those hardest hit by the war. We will work with on-the-ground partners to distribute the relief as needed.
We encourage you to also pray for people who are caught in the ugliness of this war and for the de-escalation of the conflict in order to preserve the additional loss of human life.
During the early morning hours of February 6, 2023, an earthquake devastated southeastern Türkiye near the Syrian border. The quake has killed more than 41,000 people and injured many more. It also left families without shelter and in great need of emergency services.
Converge has established a relief fund to assist those whose lives have been turned upside down by this tragedy. We are working with trusted ministry partners who have a full-time presence in the region to ensure donations are distributed where they are most needed.
If your church has a global relief fund, please consider donating now. If you receive a special offering, Converge will help administer the funds you raise. No service fees will be attached to your donation.
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale invasion in Ukraine.
Converge has partnered with local leaders and churches in Ukraine for decades through sister churches, ministry leaders and global workers. Now, we continue to serve our Ukrainian brothers and sisters in the current crisis.
A relief fund has been established by Converge to assist the Ukrainian people. This fund will help provide relief for gospel leaders, others who remain within the Ukrainian borders and people who are displaced.
If your church has a global relief fund, consider donating now. If you receive a special offering, Converge will help administer the funds you raise. There will be no service fee for donations given to this fund.
