Converge churches make the most of Easter opportunity

The “Big 3 Weekends” — Christmas, Easter and fall kickoff — present a unique opportunity to invite neighbors, co-workers, relatives, friends and classmates to church and introduce them to Jesus. Churches throughout our movement didn’t waste the opportunity this Easter, and God honored their faithfulness in powerful ways.

Here’s the good news:

“Excited to baptize three people on Easter Sunday!”

“We are praising God for his incredible work in our midst over Easter weekend. Our regular attenders extended hundreds of personal invitations, and more than 1200 people (triple our normal weekend average) came through our doors between Friday and Sunday to hear Jesus’ message of hope. On top of that, we had 26 people baptized in our services Sunday morning, either committing or recommitting to surrender to Christ’s leadership in their life. We have so much to be thankful for and so much to celebrate. Our God is awesome!”

It was truly a ‘Yea, God’ moment.”

“In light of the tragedy in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday, several friends from the D.C.-area Muslim community came to Mosaic to stand with us in a gesture of friendship, solidarity and support.
