To address poverty and the effects it has in a community, we have the TTP (Technical Training Program). This program pairs a Master with an apprentice for a 1 to 3-year period of time as well as classroom time teaching Biblical Business Basics.
Opportunities here are limitless. Trade skills they learn are; furniture making, tailoring, hair dressing, barbering, masonry, cell phone repair, welding, motorcycle repair, computer business center, general carpentry, auto body repair, knitting and we are always exploring other opportunities.
The people & the place
The Gotel Mountains are a vast mountain range that stretches from Eastern Nigeria across the border into Camaroon. Nigeria is the seventh-most populated ― and one of the fastest-growing ― countries in the world. It is projected to be the world’s third-largest country by 2050, surpassing the United States, among other nations. There are 251 least-reached people groups in Nigeria, including several in the Gotel region alone. Many of the people here practice Islam and traditional African religions.
